We are seeking a Clinical Educator to lead our Education team, overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing, certified nursing assistants, social work and pastoral/chaplain staff in the clinical care area.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Educator serves as a member of the clinical management team to address concerns/problems associated with the delivery of clinical services. The Clinical Educator will actively participate in the orientation of new clinical staff to include nursing, CNA’s, Social Worker and Pastoral/Chaplain Staff, ensuring orientation processes meet all regulatory requirements.

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This is an exempt position. To accommodate the training needs of the organization and employees of all shifts, flexibility to work some evenings and weekends needed.
EDUCATION: Bachelors of Nursing from an accredited program and current Maryland License or Master’s in Social Work from an accredited educational institution with LCSW-C certification or Master of Divinity Degree from an institution that is accredited by the American Association of Theological Schools with CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of hospice experience preferred; Demonstrated skills in creating and implementing clinical training programs, including a working knowledge of adult learning techniques, current clinical standards and strong presentation skills. Demonstrated knowledge and application of Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC and APIC guidelines, regulatory standards and applicable state and federal regulations. Knowledge of NHPCO Guidelines for Standards of Care.
SKILLS: Must be able to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making. Proficiency in creating and implementing clinical and EMR training programs, including a working knowledge of adult learning techniques, current clinical standards and strong presentation skills. Adjusts and revises training as needed. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with attention to details and deadlines, and to simultaneously handle multiple projects. Ability to work well with Administration, Boards, Donors, Staff, volunteers and the public. Must have competency in computer skills, including word processing knowledge of graphics, database management and reporting software preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely.
