DIRECTOR, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick, Georgia Full-Time Days

The professional we select for this important role will manage our health system’s performance-improvement and quality-improvement program to enhance the quality and safety of patient care. This individual will provide system analysis of performance-improvement initiatives to facilitate and benchmark for the provision of high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Additional responsibilities include:
Planning, developing, implementing, managing, and assessing the effectiveness of the performance-improvement plan, quality-assurance programs, quality-management programs, and compliance with Core Measures and the National Patient Safety Goals.
Preparing presentations for medical and staff functions, departmental and Medical Executive Committee reports, and reports related to performance-improvement teams and committees using performance-improvement tools, techniques, and statistical applications.
Reporting to the medical staff departments, medical executive committees, advisory board, and hospital authority.
Coaching medical staff members and hospital staff on report development and presentation.
Tracking committee and PI/QM reports to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Overseeing and facilitating such health system committees as the Quality Committee of the Hospital Authority, the Patient Care and Safety Committees, PI teams, and Policy & Procedure Committee.
Performing gap analysis of health system compliance in response to the sentinel event alerts.
Obtaining and providing data for hospital operations related to such issues as patient satisfaction, patient safety, infection rates, mortality rates, and complications.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare management or related.
Five or more years of healthcare-related managerial experience.
Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data submission.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers and audiovisual equipment.
Ability to thrive among diverse work groups.
Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare management, or related.
RN, RHIA, or CPHQ.
