Associate System Administrator
JOB SUMMARY:
Manages server operating systems and infrastructure components for computing environments with some guidance. Provides support services for systems administration, networking, performance tuning, monitoring and capacity planning while adhering to enterprise ITIL processes and procedures. Enforces policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of the system and ensures the system meets availability and disaster recovery requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 30% Assist lab staff with technical needs
- 20% Support/Admin laboratory/informatics computing environments
- 20% Support/Admin mission-critical server and NAS systems
- 20% Develop and strengthen skillset
- 10% Support/Develop lab workflow scripts
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Scripting (Novice): - Can understand and code in a common language. Perl and/or Python preferred.
Troubleshooting (Novice): Can troubleshoot independently and asks for guidance as needed.
TECHNOLOGIES :
Familiarity with any of the following a plus.
CentOS/RHEL, Windows Server, Oracle DBMS, MSSQL, Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Dell EMC Storage, FTP/SFTP, Terminal/Shell, HTML, CMS
