Nurse Practitioner - Atlantic Health Careers

Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner for our Pulmonary and Allergy practices who will travel to four of our locations as needed: Summit, Cedar Knolls, West Orange and Union.

Job Summary and Essential Functions:

• Nurse Practitioner of office-based position. Including but not limited to evaluation of sleep medicine patients
• Position will include hospital rounding as needed

Other Desired Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate office/hospital needs including evening and Saturday morning appointments as needed. Travel to additional offices expected. Ability to work office hours as needed based on practice needs. Ability to work expanded hours including weekends at any and all practice locations.
• Coverage at all hospitals and office in which the practice has a presence.
• Knowledge of the interrelationship of both people and functions within the Medical Office; includes knowledge of informal Medical Office goals, standards, policies and procedures. This knowledge presumes there may be limited knowledge of other Medical Offices within the organization
• Ability to act independently
• Ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities with limited supervision by persons or procedures.
• Ability to make decisions within certain prescribed limits on essentially procedure-oriented operations where the decision making involves good judgment rather than requiring independence of thought and the exercise of significant subjective discretion
• Ability to establish work priorities to meet established deadlines
• Ability to interact with non-organization personnel
• Ability to exchange pertinent non-routine information, answer questions, and offer guidance, either face-to-face, through written correspondence, or via the telephone, with individuals outside the organization (including patients) on a continual basis. Requires tact and some persuasion beyond the levels of courtesy and politeness required for all jobs

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• BSN Required
• MS required
• Advanced Practicing Nurse required

Two (2) or more years of experience preferred.
