The Health Care Technician is a non-licensed member of the nursing care team who performs various direct patient care activities, indirect patient care activities and related supportive services under the general guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. The position combines the responsibility of Nursing Assistant and selected aspects of phlebotomy, EKG, respiratory care, nutrition assistance. Performs 12 Lead EKG Performs Phlebotomy Establishes helpful relationships with patients and others Provides one on one sitter support for patients requiring such supervision Provides assistance with personal hygiene, bowel/bladder care, physical comfort and a clean and safe environment Provides appropriate support to patients in meeting their nutritional needs Performs reports and documents measurements such as vital signs, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and glucose finger sticks Collects urine, stool, sputum and blood specimens, labels and delivers to laboratory Provides selected respiratory care Assists patients with movement, positioning, ambulation and transportation Work Schedule: Various (will be discussed at the time of interviews) Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
