Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican Hospitals of Las Vegas has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Medicine Core Faculty position to help build a brand new community-based Internal Medicine Residency.  We are committed to educating and mentoring residents to care for the community while living the CommonSpirit and Dignity Health mission.

The position will include administrative, teaching, resident/medical student supervision and comprehensive internal medicine clinical care in both the inpatient and ambulatory setting.

Summary: 

The core faculty are responsible for assisting the Program Director with the development and growth of the Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Internal Medicine Residency program in accordance with ACGME guidelines.

The Opportunity:

• Teaching, mentoring, advising and supervising residents and medical students
• Serves on the Clinical Competency Committee
• Serves on the Program Evaluation Committee
• Curricula development for resident and faculty education
• Participates in assessment and evaluation of all learners
• Participates in quality/practice improvement projects annually
• Completes scholarly activity annually
• Clinical supervision of residents in the ambulatory and inpatient settings
• Solo ambulatory clinical duties in the resident/faculty ambulatory practice
• Opportunity to sit on hospital committees
• Other duties as necessary to meet ACGME requirements and per Program Director discretion

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited osteopathic or allopathic medical school
• Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine
• Licensed or able to be licensed in Nevada
• Experience in graduate medical education a plus but not required
• Spanish-speaking fluency strongly preferred
