The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is recruiting for a cluster hire of 3-5 individuals who can add depth and breadth to strengthen research on the promotion of healthy lifestyle behaviors and prevention and treatment of pediatric obesity and related health problems. We are looking for faculty at Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels who are interested in translational research that can range from translation of basic science to dissemination and implementation science, building on existing strengths. Faculty at all levels would be expected to develop and maintain an active research program. Building on UB’s strength in collaborative and translational research, we seek to hire a colleague who values a collaborative work environment. The candidates will be able to take advantage of already established collaborations within the department and the university at large, including the UB Center for Ingestive Behavior, as well as collaborate in the development of innovative interdisciplinary programs of research. The candidate will also help in mentoring faculty and/or trainees, and provide research design and statistics expertise to the Department. Desired Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, or related fields, D.O or, MD.
